IMMEDIATE Fashion School initiates community-led artistic research with a focus on fashion, self & society. It is a rolling collective made up of everyday creatives who aim to playfully challenge the dominant systems of fashion through study, art and performance. Originally initiated in Austin, TX in 2017, each instance of IMMEDIATE Fashion School is unique in terms of its specific focus, timeframe, location and participants, but consistent in terms of the types of activities we do together. Each exploration includes the following core elements:

 

-reading, discussion & embodied play 

-guest artists and speakers

-skill-sharing sessions

-collaborative art-making projects

-presentation of work to the public
