Learn how to read and use commercial sewing patterns to make your own clothes --- dresses, skirts, pants, shirts, jackets, bathing suits, underwear, bras, hats, bags, you name it! From start to finish, you will choose a design, select the correct pattern size (and alter if needed), gather and prepare the needed materials, cut out the fabric pieces and stitch them together practicing a variety of garment sewing techniques along the way. Go home on the last day of class wearing your newly made clothing item! Scroll down to the bottom of this page to see a list of the supplies & materials needed for this class. Pre-requisite: Must be 13 years of age or older and know how to operate a sewing machine. This class meets 5 times: Saturdays, 9:30am-1:00pm, March 22nd thru April 26th (skips April 12th)
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made no later than 72 hours before the start time of your class in order to receive a refund. There are no make-up classes for any classes missed; if you miss a class, you can schedule a private lesson for an additional fee to get caught up. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment or other reasons, you will receive a full refund. Students must be 13 years of age or older in order to participate and minors must have a parent sign a consent form before class. All classes are held at the Eugene Ballet Costume Shop located at 154 e. 16th Ave. Eugene, OR 97401. You may arrive up to 15 minutes before your class starts.
