DIY Pattern-making SUMMER INTENSIVE
Learn to design your own clothing patterns
Details
We'll start the summer by practicing flat pattern-making fundamentals, including manipulating darts, adding style lines, adjusting volume, using the slash and spread technique and much more. We'll then move on to creating personal pattern blocks that fit your body perfectly. Once you have those blocks, you can use them over and over again to create your own clothing designs using the flat-patterning techniques learned earlier in the summer. Pre-requisite: Must be 13 years of age or older, know how to operate a sewing machine and have some experience sewing garments from commercial sewing patterns. This class meets for 12 weeks: Saturdays, 9:30am-1:00pm, June 20th - September 19th (skips August 1st and 29th)
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made no later than 72 hours before the start time of your class in order to receive a refund. There are no make-up classes for any classes missed; if you miss a class, you can schedule a private lesson for an additional fee to get caught up. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment or other reasons, you will receive a full refund. Students must be 13 years of age or older in order to participate and minors must have a parent sign a consent form before class. All classes are held at the Eugene Ballet Costume Shop located at 154 e. 16th Ave. Eugene, OR 97401. You may arrive up to 15 minutes before your class starts.
